Lumber City Franchises stock a wide range of 16mm chipboard,
which is available in plain, commercial, white, modern melamine colours and selected veneers.

Plywoods are imported from countries such as
Malaysia and Brazil. Waterproof ply is mainly stocked by Lumber City’s near coastal areas for
boat building purposes, but has many other exterior applications as well, such as decking, exterior
wall cladding, concrete form work and shuttering.
Exotic plywoods such as Oak, Maple, Cherry, etc is in
great demand by the furniture manufacturers.

Hardboard Products are a
familiar sight in all the Lumber City Branches. The fast moving lines are the plain brown, white and
oak hardboard > which are used for the backing of kitchen cupboards, wardrobes and display
units.
These hardboard products also come in various woodgrain finishes which
are used for wall paneling (shown in picture). The hardboard for the above uses are 3,2mm thick. A 6,4mm
product is also manufactured and specially tempered to withstand extreme climatic conditions. This
product is only manufactured in standard brown and with a white pre-coat and is used for interior and
exterior signage and road signage.

manufactured from 19mm laminated pine. These shelves are sturdy and ideal for internal use.

The Lumber Kit has been adopted by most of our branches in
South Africa. This is an easy, DIY method of building your own bedroom and kitchen cupboards. The
cupboards are modular and are available in 'Kit' form with detailed assembly instructions
